There is a Gnome Virtual Filesystem race condition when multiple users and/or multiple instances of one user are logged into a workstation with a network connected home directory. This has been a problem since redhat 12 and the developers have ignored it since. :-(
On regular occasions, it brings our network of ~100 workstations to a grinding halt and requires hunting down the culprit station to either reboot or kill the processes.
Plz can haz fix?
